We have a very traditional style to both our vineyard and winery aspects of our business, incorporating traditional growing methods, handpicking, pruning and basket pressing. Traditional winemaking methods showcase distinctive wines with a house style that is uniquely Ralph Fowler. The wines have varietal expression and are reflective of the terroir not only of the region but of their vineyard.

First established in 1995, Ralph Fowler Wines is a 7-ha vineyard, winery, and cellar door in Mount Benson.
The first Ralph Fowler Wines vintage from grapes grown on the property was a 1997 Shiraz, and our cellar door opened for tastings and sales in 1999. The Cellar Door facility is tucked away in the vineyard and offers an intimate look into artisan winemaking.

Ralph Fowler Wines is an Australian company owned and operated by the Fowler family. Ralph Fowler Wines is managed by Ralph and Deborah Fowler, along with daughter-in-law, Richelle.
The combination of knowledge and experience gained over 50 years, passion, dedication by Ralph along with handpicking, small-batch and basket pressing create our unique winemaking style.
Many family members have been involved in different aspects of the business over the years, including daughter Sarah, son James and son-in-law Nigel Squire.
