The 2018 harvest was excellent, with average yields and wines of high quality. The fruit has been handpicked, whole berry fermented and basket pressed. The wine was matured in French oak barriques for 10 months. The style reflects our cool climate and is savoury, complex and structured. The wine is intensely coloured, strongly perfurmed with berry, spice and pepper characters. The flavours are long and lingering with complex fruitiness and strong acidity. The wine finishes with firm, fine and dry tannins.

Our gentle approach and hand making make the wines attractive drinking now for their fruitiness, richness and attractive fine dry tannins. Try this wine after 3 or 4 years and benefit from the added flavours and complexity and softening of the tannins. The wine will cellar well for up to 11 years.
